(about)

a wild national park with untouched nature, where you can encounter wildlife and world-class waves famous for their consistency.

G-Land is a national park on Java island with a few hotels and plenty of surf spots for different levels. The waves are mellow, safe, and perfect for learning.
Getting to the spot feels like a safari: along the way you might see deer, peacocks, monitor lizards, and even
a leopard.

the place
about
We stay at the cozy Joyo Surf Camp, with a homely, laid-back vibe. Deer, peacocks, and wild boars wander freely around the grounds, exemplifying the peaceful atmosphere of the national park.

Rooms come with everything you need: good beds, air conditioning. Accommodation is usually 2 people per room, i3 in peak season. Private room available on request.

Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are included. The internet in the dining area is good enough for calls and remote work, while in the rooms it’s only suitable for light browsing.
accomodation
We don’t lock the trip to specific dates in advance — we adapt to the best forecast conditions. On the website, you book 10-day waiting windows: for example, June 1–10, June 10–20, etc. By booking such a window, you reserve your spot within that period.

The trip itself can last 3, 5, or 7 days — depending on the forecast and the number of suitable swells. Usually, one good swell arrives within each waiting window. Around 7–10 days before the start, I confirm the exact trip dates.

For example: you book the June 1–10 window, then later the forecast shows an ideal swell from June 4–7 — and around May 25 you receive confirmation that the trip will happen on those dates. This format allows us to choose only the best surfing conditions instead of going on random fixed dates.

waves
It’s a mellow A-frame with a clearly defined right, a strong channel, and a slow pace - perfect conditions to learn cutbacks and turns. The wave is safe, breaks close to shore, and the reef is not dangerous. Suitable even for beginners, while advanced surfers can still refine their technique.

The biggest advantage of TigerTrack is its consistency: out of 50 sessions, wind ruins only a couple, so you can surf pretty much all day long.

TigerTrack — the main wave we surf on G-Land

It’s still mellow, but slightly faster, making it excellent for practicing speed generation and quick top turns. A big plus: the wave works on any tide.

20/20 - This left-hander is more demanding on conditions and breaks less often than TigerTrack

it delivers a long, steady right. You can easily fit up to five cutbacks on a single ride.

Secret Spot - This wave is more fickle with conditions, but when it works

How to define your level?
never tried surfing or started just recently. Your goal is a confident take-off, riding along the wave wall, and gaining speed.
you can paddle into a wave and take off, ride along the wall, and start gaining speed. You’re learning cutbacks and linking basic maneuvers.
you confidently hold speed and do cutbacks. Your goal is fast top turns, snaps, and first rides into small barrels.
