Our plane touches down on the main island, Male. Thulusdhoo island, just a 30-minute speed boat ride from Male. Thulusdhoo island — home to the famous Cokes, a powerful right-hand reef break just a 5-minute walk from the hotel, across the channel is chickens — a long, playful left-hander and one of the best waves in the region. it’s smoother, longer, and ideal for flowing rides. within a short 15-minute boat ride, you’ll also find sultans and jailbreaks, both world-class right-handers offering a mix of barrels and open faces.

perfectly located and easily one of my favorite waves in the region. it sits right across from kudavillingili resort, offering a great angle for filming straight from the pier — perfect for capturing clean shots. the wave is long and has three main peaks, so even with a crowd, it’s easy to find your own take-off spot. when all sections connect, it creates an incredibly long ride. powerful yet smooth, it’s great for fast turns, snaps, top turns, and slower sections that invite a stylish cutback.

Chickens - Known for being the longest left-hand wave in the region.

it’s a playful and versatile wave with sections for carving turns and occasional barrels on solid swell days.

Sultans - a long right-hander just 15 minutes from the hotel.

similar to sultans, but more powerful and consistent. offers a long wall with fast sections and potential barrels — a solid wave for confident surfers.

jails - This wave is more fickle with conditions, but when it works.

a powerful right-hander with fast sections and deep barrels. it works best on mid to high tide and loves a solid southeast swell. recommended only for confident shortboard surfers — the wave demands solid timing and board control.

Cokes - powerful right-hander located just near the hotel.

High Season (May - September). only for intermediate and advanced surfers.
It's the prime season for the Maldives, and with the arrival of the year's biggest swells, it's time to embrace the challenge and test your limits to catch the wave of your life.

Shoulder Season (March - April)/(October - November). open for all levels, from beginner to advanced.
You can still find good swells reaching the islands, but they are slightly smaller than during the high season. This provides a great opportunity to enjoy more user-friendly waves with less crowds.
